"I Am Not Like My Mother" is a photography project about a relationship between a mother and daughter. In the photographs, we see the identification process of young women via their role models. Societal expectations from young individuals, and even Aristotle's complaints about the new generation not preserving their traditional values, still continues to be an issue. If we consider the individuals to wear the britches within the society are approximately over-30 years, the expectations of the society are the expectations of these people. However, just like the changes in fashion, lives change as well.

In the project, facial expression which is a narrative element of the portraiture photography cannot be found. That is why people from similar age groups can take Peschek's place.
